Our young artists have been busy making our school look like a Winter Wonderland!

K – Learned to collage with tissue paper, and made shape penguins.

1 – Created 3D hot chocolate mugs, and practiced drawing lines with rulers.

2 – Painted with donated corks to make snow for their snowman.

3 – Used toothbrushes to paint snow for their winter window scene.

4 – Assembled trees weaving paper together.

5 – Drew snowmen from a “worm’s eye view.”

6 – Painted beautiful winter landscapes showing birch trees with shadows.

7 – Used oil pastels to draw a snowman.  They used tinting and shading to make their snowman look realistic.

8 – Decorated our lobby with giant snowflakes, a life-size snowman and winter murals.  They learned to work together to create beautiful artwork!

During the holiday season, all students in grades K-8 created placemats for Meals on Wheels recipients.  They were so happy to have a chance to bring a smile to the older people in our community.
