8th Grade Algebra

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7

Welcome to Algebra!

I hope you are excited to take on this challenge and reach your highest potential! Students who are recommended for Algebra still take 8th grade math throughout the course of the school day. Algebra is a challenging high school course that concludes with a Regents Exam in June. I stress that students review past topics on their own throughout the year, since the regents exam is cumulative. Unit tests will have questions from past topics on them, so that students are regularly exposed to past material. This is a fast paced curriculum that requires focus and self motivation. Please be sure your child is reviewing at home and completing assignments.

I highly recommend they visit the sites listed on the resource page for practice on specific topics.
